Last Updated: October 15, 2026.
These policies apply to the apps offered under passPHARMACY.ca by Tigris Guardians Inc., including passEE, passMCQ, passPVUE, passOSCE, and passJEP.
passEE and passMCQ are not affiliated with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. "PEBC" and "Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada" are trademarks of the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada.
passJEP is not affiliated with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). "OCP" and "Ontario College of Pharmacists" are trademarks of the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
A. Personal Information:
Information provided during registration, such as your name, email address, and username.
B. Device Information:
Technical data such as your device type, operating system, browser, screen size, time zone, IP address, and device, session or other IDs.
C. Messages:
Emails you send to us or receive from us.
D. Usage Data:
Information about how you interact with the app, including feature usage and preferences.
E. Payment Data:
Information required for in-app purchases, such as payment methods, is processed securely by trusted third-party payment providers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used for:
- Account Management: Secure login and personalized user experiences
- Service Improvement: Analyzing app performance and enhancing features
- Payment Processing: Managing subscriptions and purchases
- Communication: Sending essential updates, notifications, and promotional materials (with your consent)
- Security and Content Protection: Enforcing single-user access, detecting account sharing, and tracing leaked content. Questions and other protected content are shown with a watermark that identifies the account viewing them (see Terms of Service, section 7)
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Your information is only used within the app for the purposes described in this policy. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect our rights.
To run the apps, we rely on trusted service providers that process information on our behalf and only to provide their services: cloud hosting and database services (Google Firebase), payment processing (Stripe, the Apple App Store and Google Play), and AI-powered features (OpenAI) — for example your voice and conversation during passOSCE live practice sessions, and the questions you answered incorrectly when you ask for personalised study feedback. Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your information. Information sent between the apps and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and data we store is encrypted at rest by our cloud providers. While we strive for maximum security, no system is completely immune to breaches, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as:
- Accessing and updating your personal data
- Requesting deletion of your data
- Restricting certain processing activities
For requests, email us at support@npd-pass.com.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). If you have a concern about how your information is handled, contact us first; you may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
6. Data Retention
Unless a longer retention period is required by law, we retain user account data and related usage records for up to 5 years. After that period, data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with our internal retention practices.
7. Updates to this Policy
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or app functionality. Material changes will be communicated through the app or email.
Terms of Service

Last Updated: October 15, 2026
These Terms apply to the apps offered under passPHARMACY.ca by Tigris Guardians Inc., including passEE, passMCQ, passPVUE, passOSCE, and passJEP.
passEE and passMCQ are not affiliated with the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. "PEBC" and "Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada" are trademarks of the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada.
passJEP is not affiliated with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). "OCP" and "Ontario College of Pharmacists" are trademarks of the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
passPVUE is not affiliated with the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) or Pearson VUE. "OMSB" and "Pearson VUE" are trademarks of their respective owners.
1. Using the App
- passEE, passMCQ, passPVUE, passJEP, and passOSCE are intended for users aged 13 or older. Users in Quebec under 14 may use the apps only with the consent of a parent or guardian
- The app is provided "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted service or error-free operation
2. Accounts and Authentication
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
- On Android, only Google Sign-In is supported. On iOS, Google, Apple, and email authentication are supported for login. On the web, Google Sign-In is supported.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@npd-pass.com
3. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refund Policy
- Payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled securely by third-party processors (Apple App Store, Google Play, and Stripe).
- Purchases Are Platform-Specific: A purchase made on the web (Stripe) gives access on the web only; an Apple App Store purchase gives access in the iOS app only; and a Google Play purchase gives access in the Android app only. Access does not transfer between platforms, and being unable to use a purchase on another platform is not grounds for a refund.
- Subscription Management:
- Apple App Store and Google Play: Subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal through your Apple/Google account settings. You will be charged the same price unless we notify you of changes at least 30 days in advance.
- Stripe (Web): All purchases are one-time and non-recurring. To extend access, you must purchase a new subscription manually. We do not store payment methods or auto-charge for renewals.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: Refund requests are handled solely by Apple/Google per their policies. We do not control or guarantee refunds for these purchases.
- Stripe (Web) - 3-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: Full refund available within 3 days of purchase for any reason. To request a refund, contact support within 3 days: for passMCQ, support.mcq@pass-mcq.ca; for passEE, support.ee@pass-ee.ca; for passPVUE, support@npd-pass.com. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. Limited to one refund per account.
- Stripe (Web) - After 3 Days: All sales are final. Refunds are granted solely at our discretion on a case-by-case basis in exceptional circumstances only. If you believe there has been a billing error, contact us within 7 days of the charge using the same addresses.
- Discretionary & Promotional Offers: From time to time, we may offer custom subscription periods, individual discounts, or promotional codes at our sole discretion. These offers are individual in nature, do not constitute a change to our standard pricing structure, and do not entitle other users to the same rates or terms. All such manual or promotional transactions remain subject to these Terms of Service, including our Refund and Prohibited Activities policies.
- Filing a fraudulent chargeback or dispute for services that were delivered and used constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination, collection action, and reporting to fraud prevention databases.
4. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
- Use the app for illegal or harmful purposes
- Access other users' accounts or data without authorization
- Content Extraction: Capture, extract, copy, or reproduce any content from the app through any means, including but not limited to:
- Taking screenshots or screen recordings of questions, answers, explanations, or any other app content
- Using optical character recognition (OCR) tools or image-to-text conversion services
- Using artificial intelligence (AI) tools, automated scripts, or bots to extract content
- Manually transcribing, typing, or copying questions, answers, or explanations
- Using any third-party software, browser extensions, or tools designed to extract or capture app content
- Derivative Works: Create, compile, or distribute any derivative works based on app content, including but not limited to:
- Question banks or study materials derived from app content
- Databases, spreadsheets, or collections of questions or answers
- Any compilation or aggregation of app content in any format
- Account Sharing: Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
- Device Restrictions: Violate the device switching policy or attempt to circumvent device limitations (see Device Switching Policy section)
5. Intellectual Property
- All content, trademarks, and features in the apps (passEE, passMCQ, passPVUE, passJEP, and passOSCE) are owned by Tigris Guardians Inc. or its licensors
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only
- This license is strictly limited to a single user per account and is subject to device restrictions as outlined in the Device Switching Policy
- You may not reproduce, distribute, extract, copy, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any app materials, content, questions, answers, explanations, or features without prior written consent
- Any unauthorized extraction, reproduction, or distribution of app content constitutes a violation of these terms and may result in immediate termination of your account and legal action
- All questions, answers, explanations, and educational content are proprietary intellectual property protected by copyright and other applicable laws
6. Device Restrictions and Single-User License
- Your subscription is granted for use by a single individual only
- Account sharing, multiple concurrent users, or unauthorized access is strictly prohibited
- Device switching is subject to the Device Switching Policy, which includes progressive cooldown periods and limitations on the number of concurrent active devices
- We reserve the right to monitor device usage, account activity, and behavioral patterns to detect violations of these terms
- Excessive device switching, suspicious activity patterns, or attempts to circumvent device restrictions may result in immediate account termination without refund
7. Monitoring and Enforcement
- We actively monitor app usage, user behavior, and account activity to detect violations of these terms, including but not limited to:
- Content extraction attempts (screenshots, OCR usage, automated tools)
- Unauthorized account sharing or device switching abuse
- Suspicious activity patterns or usage anomalies
- We maintain audit logs, usage analytics, and behavioral data to support enforcement actions
- By using the app, you consent to such monitoring and acknowledge that evidence of violations may be used in enforcement proceedings
- We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violations and may request additional information or documentation from users
- Tracked Copies: Protected content is displayed with a visible watermark that identifies the account viewing it, which may include your name, email address, account and device identifiers, session identifier, IP address, browser and operating system, and the date and time. Any screenshot, photo, recording or other copy can therefore be traced to the account it came from, and removing or obscuring the watermark is itself a violation of these Terms
8. Termination of Access and Remedies
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts immediately, without prior notice, for violations of these terms, including but not limited to:
- Content extraction, screenshotting, or unauthorized reproduction of app materials
- Creation or distribution of derivative works based on app content
- Account sharing or unauthorized device usage
- Any other violation of these Terms of Service
Remedies and Penalties:
- No Refund Policy: Upon termination for violation of these terms, you are not entitled to any refund of subscription fees, regardless of the remaining subscription period
- Retroactive Invalidation: We reserve the right to retroactively invalidate your access and deny refunds for the entire subscription period if violations are discovered
- Content Takedown: If you have created derivative works or distributed app content, you must immediately cease such activities and remove all such content from any platforms, databases, or storage systems. We may demand takedown of such content and pursue legal remedies if you fail to comply
- Legal Action: We reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including but not limited to injunctive relief, damages, and recovery of legal costs and attorney fees
- Copyright Claims: Sharing, reproducing or distributing app content infringes our copyright, and we will pursue every remedy available to us under the Copyright Act (Canada)
- Reporting: We may report violations to relevant authorities, app stores, or third-party platforms as appropriate
9. Limitation of Liability
passEE, passMCQ, passPVUE, passJEP, and passOSCE are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app.
10. Updates to the Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our app or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must discontinue use of the app immediately. Your continued use after the effective date of any updates indicates your agreement to be bound by the modified terms.
No Waiver: Any failure by us to strictly enforce any provision of these Terms (such as providing a promotional extension or custom period) shall not be construed as a waiver of our right to enforce such terms in the future or for other users.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Cambridge or Toronto, Ontario.
12. General Provisions
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
- Assignment: We may assign these Terms to a successor; you may not transfer your account or rights.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Tigris Guardians Inc.
Device Switching Policy
Device Switch Cooldown System
In the mobile apps (iOS and Android), we use a progressive cooldown system for device switches to maintain security and prevent abuse:
- First Switch: Immediate (no cooldown)
- Second Switch: 1 hour cooldown
- Third Switch: 3 hours cooldown
- Fourth Switch: 24 hours cooldown
- Fifth Switch: 3 days cooldown
- Sixth Switch: 7 days cooldown
- Seventh Switch and beyond: 14 days cooldown
Important Notes:
- Mobile apps: a maximum of 1 active device per account
- Web: one active browser per account. Signing in on another browser signs out the previous one, and the browser can be changed at most 3 times in any 24-hour period; once that limit is reached, a new browser cannot be used until the period has passed
- Device switches are tracked and logged for security
- Unauthorized devices will be automatically signed out
- Cooldown periods are strictly enforced and cannot be bypassed
- The cooldown timer starts when a device switch is initiated
- Users can view their remaining cooldown time in the settings
This policy helps us:
- Protect user data and privacy
- Prevent unauthorized account sharing
- Maintain service quality
- Ensure fair usage of the platform
Book Sales Terms
These terms apply to every purchase of a passMCQ book — digital or printed — made on this site. By completing a purchase you agree to them.
- All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges, for digital or printed books, including for change of mind. Digital books are delivered immediately and personalised with your name; printed books are produced on demand — your copy is printed for your order alone.
- The one exception. If our printing partner is unable to produce your order, we refund the full amount you paid — including delivery — automatically, and email you to say so. No request is needed.
- Prices and tax. All prices are in Canadian dollars. For orders delivered within Canada, prices include Canadian sales tax. Orders delivered outside Canada are not charged Canadian tax; any import duties or local taxes at delivery are the buyer's responsibility.
- Delivery address. Printed books are shipped to the address you confirm at checkout. It is shown to you once more before payment; once the order is with the printer it cannot be changed, and a parcel lost to an incorrect address cannot be refunded or reprinted free of charge.
- Delivery times. The delivery window shown at checkout is the printer's and carrier's estimate, not a guarantee. Carrier delays do not qualify an order for a refund.
- Digital delivery. A digital book is delivered by a personal download link, emailed to you after payment. The link allows one download and stays active for 2 days. If your download fails or the link lapses, write to us from the email address you bought with and we will send a new one. To protect the books from unauthorised sharing, and to help when a download fails, we keep a record each time a link is used: the IP address the request comes from, the date and time, and your browser and device details. The record is kept with your order.
- Updates and new editions. Each book is sold as a named edition, identified by the year on its cover (for example, the 2027 edition). If you bought the digital book and we release a revised version of that same edition, we will send you the revised digital copy at no charge, by a new download link emailed to the address you purchased with. This applies to digital books only: a printed book is not reprinted, replaced or supplemented with a digital copy when a revision is released. A new edition, identified by a later year, is a separate book and is purchased separately at the price then in effect, subject to the credit described below. Buying one edition, digital or printed, does not include any later edition. We are not obliged to release revisions or new editions.
- Credit toward a new edition. If you bought a digital book in the 30 days before a new edition of that title was released, you may ask for a credit toward the digital copy of the new edition of the same title: $100 on the Complete Collection, $60 on Therapeutics, $35 on Pharmacy Management and $25 on the Pharmacy Calculations Workbook. To claim it, write to support.mcq@pass-mcq.ca from the email address you purchased with, within 60 days of the new edition's release. Once we confirm your order we will issue a single-use credit code. The credit is tied to that email address and cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash or combined with another offer. Printed books do not earn a credit, and a credit cannot be used on a printed book.
- Personal licence. Copyright in these books remains with passMCQ at all times. Buying a copy does not transfer ownership of the work: it grants one named person a personal, non-transferable licence to use that single copy for their own study. Sharing, lending, reselling, redistributing, uploading or reproducing a copy — in whole or in part, by any means — is not permitted. Every copy carries the buyer's name and email on every page, so a shared copy identifies the account it came from. At checkout you confirm that the name you give is your full legal name; a copy is licensed to that name only.
- Enforcement. Sharing or reproducing a copy, in whole or in part, constitutes copyright infringement. Under the Copyright Act the copyright owner may sue for infringement and elect statutory damages up to $5,000 where the infringement is non-commercial, and between $500 and $20,000 per work where it is commercial, together with an injunction, the infringer's profits and legal costs. We watermark every copy for this reason. Where we identify a shared copy we will close the account concerned without refund, and we will pursue the remedies above where the scale warrants it.
- Questions. Write to support.mcq@pass-mcq.ca — we answer.
