Book Sales Terms

These terms apply to every purchase of a passMCQ book — digital or printed — made on this site. By completing a purchase you agree to them.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges, for digital or printed books, including for change of mind. Digital books are delivered immediately and personalised with your name; printed books are produced on demand — your copy is printed for your order alone.
The one exception. If our printing partner is unable to produce your order, we refund the full amount you paid — including delivery — automatically, and email you to say so. No request is needed.
Prices and tax. All prices are in Canadian dollars. For orders delivered within Canada, prices include Canadian sales tax. Orders delivered outside Canada are not charged Canadian tax; any import duties or local taxes at delivery are the buyer's responsibility.
Delivery address. Printed books are shipped to the address you confirm at checkout. It is shown to you once more before payment; once the order is with the printer it cannot be changed, and a parcel lost to an incorrect address cannot be refunded or reprinted free of charge.
Delivery times. The delivery window shown at checkout is the printer's and carrier's estimate, not a guarantee. Carrier delays do not qualify an order for a refund.
Personal licence. Copyright in these books remains with passMCQ at all times. Buying a copy does not transfer ownership of the work: it grants one named person a personal, non-transferable licence to use that single copy for their own study. Sharing, lending, reselling, redistributing, uploading or reproducing a copy — in whole or in part, by any means — is not permitted. Every copy carries the buyer's name and email on every page, so a shared copy identifies the account it came from.
Enforcement. Sharing or reproducing a copy, in whole or in part, constitutes copyright infringement. Under the Copyright Act the copyright owner may sue for infringement and elect statutory damages up to $5,000 where the infringement is non-commercial, and between $500 and $20,000 per work where it is commercial, together with an injunction, the infringer's profits and legal costs. We watermark every copy for this reason. Where we identify a shared copy we will close the account concerned without refund, and we will pursue the remedies above where the scale warrants it.
