The 2027 edition of the passMCQ Books is now available, in English and French. Two things are new: the books are illustrated throughout, and every chapter has been updated to the current Canadian guidelines.
Illustrated throughout
The 2027 edition adds more than 370 illustrations and diagrams. Here are three examples.
An illustration about acne: how every lesion starts in a blocked follicle.

Another, about gout: what happens in the joint above the urate target, and once treatment brings urate below it.

And one about glaucoma: a normal eye beside acute angle closure.

The illustrations sit alongside the treatment flowcharts and drug cards, so each chapter gives you the picture, the pathway and the drug facts together.
Updated to the current Canadian guidelines
Every chapter was checked against the current Canadian guidelines. The management chapters follow the Controlled Substances Regulations in force since October 1, 2026.
The books match the question bank, which was updated to the same guidelines. What a passMCQ question tests is taught in the book, so you can go from a question you missed to the chapter that explains it.
And much more
The illustrations and the guideline updates are only the part we are telling you about. The 2027 edition was rebuilt chapter by chapter, and almost every page has changed.
There is far more inside than this page describes. We would rather you find it as you read.
